Message
Commissioner, Ms. Prachi Pandey, IA&AS
Dear Teachers,
Heartfelt wishes on Teachers’ Day 2025.
A teacher is much more than a guide in academics; they are the architect of a child’s future. From helping a child trace the first alphabet to guiding them through life’s important decisions, teachers walk every step with patience, empathy, and support. They shape not just minds, but values, dreams, and aspirations that define the destiny of our nation.
Mrs. Shahida Parveen
Deputy Commissioner, KVS , RO, Bhopal
Message, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has come a long way since its establishment in the year 1963, when 20 regimental schools run by Ministry of Defence were brought into central school scheme, under Ministry of Education for catering mainly to the education of children of defence employees and other transferable central Govt. Employees. At present there are 1087 Kendriya Vidyalayas spread across the country with more than 11 lakh children enrolled and around 56000 employees. Training and development is an integral part of the human resource development activity for an organization this size. Keeping this training need of the personnel in mind, KVS decided to establish its own Training Institute. Zonal Institute of Education and Training, Mumbai came into existence on 1stApril, 2003 as second training institute of KVS, after Gwalior. At present there are three other such institutes at Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh and Mysore. Technically training involves change in attitude, skills or knowledge of a person with the resultant improvement in the behaviour. For training to be effective, it has to be a planned, activities conducted after a thorough need analysis and target at certain competencies, most important, it is to be conducted in a learning atmosphere. The need for Training and Development The following are the two biggest factors that contribute to the increased need to training and development in organisations: Change: The word change encapsulates almost everything. It is one of the biggest factors that contribute to the need of training and development. There is in fact a direct relationship between the two. Change leads to the need for training and development and training and development leads to individual and organisational change, and the cycle goes on and on. More specifically it is the technology that is driving the need; changing the way how organisations function, compete and deliver. Development: It is again one of the strong reasons for training and development becoming all the more important. Money is not the sole motivator at work and this is especially very true for the 21st century. People who work with organisations seek more than just employment out of their work; they look at holistic development of self. Spirituality and self- awareness for example are gaining momentum world over. People seek happiness at jobs which may not be possible unless an individual is aware of the self. Warm regards. Mrs Shahida Parveen Deputy Commissioner KVS Bhopal Region

Dear Students, My unflinching belief has always been that those who find pleasure in diligent, dedicated and disciplined life reap a bountiful harvest in the form of divine satisfaction. It is with this motto of my life. I took over the charge as Principal of this Vidyalayas on 31st August 2022 and it has been my constant endeavour to steer my teachers and students in this direction which I find most rewarding. My emphasis is upon this holistic development of a child by fostering a synergic blend between scholastic and co- scholastic achievements and a host of co-curricular and extra curricula activities which find a rightful place in the curriculum.
